Evidence Is the Bottleneck Between Technology and Patients
Mobility technologies are advancing: exoskeletons, wearable respiratory monitors, assistive robotics, physiologic sensors. The engineering is increasingly sophisticated. But without clinical evidence, these technologies cannot be adopted, reimbursed, or integrated into the care pathways where patients need them.
The evidence gap is structural, not incidental. Trial networks were built for other therapeutic areas. Endpoints are designed for journals, not for the payer and regulatory decisions that determine patient access. Studies happen in fragments instead of as part of a coherent evidence strategy.
TICM exists to close that gap. Your support directly enables research that is designed to reach patients, not just publications.
“Promising technology does not change care on its own. It changes care when the right evidence makes adoption possible.”
Cody Jacox, PT, DPT | Founding Director, TICM
Where Your Support Goes
01
Pilot Research
Funding early-stage feasibility studies that generate the initial evidence needed to advance promising cardiopulmonary mobility technologies toward clinical adoption.
02
Research Infrastructure
Building and maintaining the clinical research infrastructure, including patient access, endpoint validation, and data systems, that makes TICM's evidence generation possible.
03
Open Science
Advancing open science practices where possible, making research findings more available to the broader clinical and scientific community while respecting study and partner constraints.
Ways to Support TICM
TICM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research institute. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. EIN: 88-1594950.
Research That Reaches Patients
The gap between promising technology and clinical adoption is almost always an evidence problem. Your support helps close it.
