Leadership

Grounded in Clinical Practice

TICM is led by clinician-researchers who practice in cardiopulmonary and rehabilitation medicine, not studying this field from a distance, but working within it daily.

Institute Leadership

TICM is led by its founding director, with leadership rooted in active clinical practice and translational evidence generation.

A Scientific Advisory Board is being assembled. Inquiries from domain experts are welcome.

Founding Director, TICM

Cody Jacox founded TICM to close a specific gap he encountered directly in practice. As the institute's founding director and a practicing cardiopulmonary physical therapist embedded within high-volume clinical care at the Breathing Center of Houston, his work centers on the disconnect between promising mobility and respiratory technologies and the clinical evidence required for their adoption.

His work is grounded in direct clinical practice at the Breathing Center of Houston, where he has treated patients with advanced cardiopulmonary conditions and observed the recurring gap between promising technologies and the evidence required to integrate them into care pathways.

His clinical and research focus converges precisely on the gap TICM was built to close: the distance between what wearable and rehabilitation technologies can do and the evidence required for them to reach patients at scale.
